Celebrating 100 Years of the Carrousel at Sonny’s Place with Exclusive Bumpa Built Drops

A Night of Nostalgia and New Favorites at Sonny’s Place

This past Friday night, Bumpa Built had the joy of participating in the 100th Anniversary Celebration of the carrousel at Sonny’s Place in Somers, CT. The event ran from 4–8pm and, although storms were in the forecast, the skies cleared to reveal a beautiful evening filled with laughter, music, and carrousel magic.

We set up our booth right alongside the historic ride, giving us a perfect view of families creating new memories as they spun through time. And fittingly, we brought the horses of the future—our 3D-printed Dapple Pony, Sparkly Unicorn, and the first exclusive drop of our new Critter Crawl series: a charming mini gray pony.

From toddlers to grandparents, everyone was enchanted by our horse-themed exclusives. Fans lined up nearly an hour early to make sure they could claim the Critter Crawl pony—our first drop in the new collection—and it was gone in a flash. Meanwhile, the Dapple Pony and Sparkly Unicorn turned heads with their elegant detailing and shimmering finishes. (If you missed them at the event, they’re still available on our website while supplies last).

Our rebranded mini fidgets, now affectionately called Bumpas, were the top seller of the night. These pocket-sized pals stole the show as kids eagerly picked their favorite colors and shapes—and adults couldn’t resist snagging a few for their desks or dashboards.

What’s Next for Bumpa Built?

We’re hitting the road! Our next stop is the Grand Design RV Rally at Finger Lakes RV Resort in Hector, NY from Wednesday through Sunday. And for our Critter Crawl fans, don’t miss the next exclusive drop on August 8th at 5pm at Stand Out Nutrition. Another new mini will be revealed—and trust us, it’s worth the trip.

We’re so grateful to the team at Sonny’s Place for letting us be part of this incredible milestone, and to everyone who stopped by to celebrate with us. Here’s to 100 more years of magic, motion, and making memories.
