Scoop & Seek Scavenger Hunt Unites Ice Cream, 3D Printing, and Local Fun Across CT and MA

In June, Bumpa Built took local summer fun to the next level with our second-ever BumpaGo scavenger hunt—and this time, it was all about ice cream and mini collectibles! After a successful trial run in May with 10 local businesses across Somers, CT and Ellington, CT, we knew we had something special. So we doubled down, launched a dedicated app at BumpaGo.com, and partnered with 11 beloved ice cream shops across Somers, Enfield, East Longmeadow, Longmeadow, and Wilbraham to bring the community together in a whole new way.

Here’s how it worked: each participating ice cream shop featured its own exclusive 3D printed mini animal, designed in partnership with Bumpa Built. When customers visited a shop, they could pick up that shop’s unique mini figurine for free and track their collection using our custom digital trading card app. Anyone who collected all 11 minis was entered to win the grand prize: a free custom 3D printing party at Bumpa Built in Somers, CT.

The community response was incredible.

  • 🎉 4,078 minis were collected
  • 👨👩👧👦 1,230 people participated
  • 🏆 162 completed the entire collection
  • 🎁 1 winner, Wyatt, claimed the grand prize

We wrapped up the hunt with a block party at Bumpa Built, featuring Kona Ice, Outer Light Brewing Company, tabletop games, live demos, and tons of family-friendly fun.

The best part? This is only the beginning. BumpaGo is now an official program of Bumpa Built, bringing together local businesses, kids activities, 3D printing, and community fun through exciting monthly scavenger hunts. Up next: our Critter Crawl kicks off on July 12th, with new minis to collect across wineries, breweries, and coffee shops. You won’t want to miss it.
